We came, we saw, and… we did not have everything. The “start from scratch” mode is the hard mode of the last FS. So, given the lack of resources available to the player during their game, we looked for a way to rig the gameplay, and we almost succeeded.
The idea? Use mission material for personal use. You have to be twisted to think about it. Did Giants lock the possibility? Not quite. When you start a game in this hardcore mode, you have to pay attention to your budget, but the mission log is already full: 3 to 6 missions from the start. You can, for example, buy land, a plow… and start a mission that will provide you with the tractor.
Only possibility: tractors
We started during our tests by taking a tractor to do our work. No problem, it's okay. And best of all, there is no time limit: as long as the mission is not completed, you can use the tractor without paying extra, because yes you have to pay a starting rental, but nothing after. Likewise, diesel and maintenance will not have to be paid, it's always what to win. Once your plots have been worked, all you have to do is actually do the mission for which you hired your tractor and pocket your meager profit.
The other tools
In this test, we will have been only half-ugly, because Giants Software has taken care to lock down the possibility of using the tools for your personal work. So if you hire a sprayer for a mission, you don't have to go water your fields. A message "This vehicle / equipment can only be used for a contract" will appear immediately. Ditto for harvesters, forage harvesters, etc. Eventually, Giants Software may correct this gameplay possibility. Admit, it was still a good try! The trick will remain good for console players since unlimited money is not yet in the program.
