Le Seasons 19 manual has been updated with new information on preparing placeable maps and objects.
Seasons mask
The Seasons mask has been redesigned to be easier to manage by mappers. New changes to the Farming Simulator 19 engine have changed the way the mask is handled, making it possible, even on an unprepared map, to see snow settling properly on the ground. Preparing a map for Seasons is required to activate bale and swath rot. Indeed, the mappers must configure the covered areas, to define when a ball is safe or not.
Trees
Seasons 19's new visuals are limited to a small number of trees. To get full visual support on the trees in your map, it is necessary to use only the supported trees. Of course, evergreen trees do not change color (pine, for example).
Elements that appear with the seasons
For Seasons 19, it is still possible to show and hide items depending on the season. The system has been renamed and tweaked a bit, but everything is detailed in the manual. You can show and hide objects depending on the snow or the season. An ice "plane" can be used to show or hide objects when the ground is frozen.
Enclosure for animals and pasture
Any kennel that visually contains grass should be properly set up. Even though the enclosure cannot be bought or sold by the player. This ensures that the grazing system works for the animals in the pen. To prepare the pasture, it is necessary to add foliages with grass.
Publication of new mods on the official hub
For new mods and maps compatible with the seasons mod, the developers advise to wait until July 24, the official release date, in order to thoroughly test your mod before sending it to the Giants Software platform.
