You thought Truck & Logistics Simulator dead and buried? Nay! The small developer, Simula Games, of this game published by Aerosoft, does not fall asleep on its laurels. The future update keeps the (good) course and should allow players to have a new dose of additional fun, especially in multiplayer.
Multiplayer Convoy Escort
Convoy escort missions are almost ready. All vans, pickups, and cars will have purchasable convoy gear that allows you to escort logistics convoys in multiplayer.
Map extension
A new region of 8 km² will be added to the map in this update, which will extend the duration of missions, allow for longer duration missions, and also provide alternative routes with mountain roads. The map expansion is 90% complete but currently has many issues that the developers are working on.
New missions
Just to whet your appetite, the developers have released some screenshots of some of the new missions that are currently in testing. Players will obviously have to load a few vehicles onto lowbeds.
vehicles
The developers added 6×4 versions of the trucks and reworked the 3d models of the exteriors. Vehicles can now be towed
A new minivan is also completed and integrated into the game. There are many new cargoes like a camping trailer or a generator. When it comes to driving, there are plenty of other little features like cruise control support. Physics is further improved and trailer braking is handled. The environment is enriched with moving ships and planes.
Driving test
The developers will add a "Test Drive" feature to vehicles before you buy them. This function allows you to test any mission available in the game without owning the vehicle, like a sandbox mode.
Future projects
Business management is a major feature under development. You will be able to create a business with a name and logo and hire AI drivers for this business. You will be able to buy vehicles and assign them to AI drivers based on their experience and driving license. Each AI driver, as well as your own driver profile, will improve and level up after completing logistics missions and you can choose which permits to progress to first.
Business management and driver profile features will likely be released with the version in which the game comes out of its early access phase.
Remember that Truck & Logistics Simualtor is available on all platforms, and playable in crossplay. The Steam version is currently displayed at €13,36 (-30% on the base price of €19,95) during Sim Fest (until April 4).
