This week Farming Simulator fans were in for a treat. Earlier this week, Komatsu, a new brand on the board, teamed up with Giants Software to produce a comparison video between their brand's real and virtual forestry equipment featured in FS 19, namely a Komatsu 931XC harvester and, new to the week, a Komatsu 875 skidder. The possibilities of doing quality forestry work seem inevitable to the delight of future virtual loggers.
With Focus
On Friday, it was Focus's turn to deliver the first real gameplay video for this Farming Simulator 19. With machines in operation in the fields, real surprises were brought up to date: John Deere 6R, Fendt Favorit 512c , New Holland T7, Treffler tine harrow, cotton trailer, Amazon 8003-2TX, Challenger… On the official site, we saw many vehicles and tools present in Farming Simulator 17 reissued for FS19 such as front loaders and Stoll implements, Steyr Profi CVT, the Kramer KL30.8T loader.
The forester
But where the reissued vehicles are the most numerous, it is for the forester: the 4 chainsaws (Stihl, Husqvarna, Jonsered and McCulloch), Damcon planter, DFM hydraulic saw, FSI trimmer, two Jenz choppers, Ponsse Buffalo and ScorpionKing, Sampo Rosenlew harvester and Fliegl and Stepa timber trailer. For newbies, we can count on a Fliegl log grapple, Komatsu harvester and skidder and a Man TGX 26.640 special timber transport truck.
Deceptions
Some brands do not carry the "coming soon" mention, which means that there will be no other tools or vehicles to come. With this, we know that the brands Jenz, Ponsse, Komatsu, Stepa or even Damcon will be quite alone. No Kramer tractor or Sampo Rosenlew harvester, no STIHL hand tools other than a chainsaw, just like Husqvarna.
For the gameplay
The news and confirmations were in order this week. The final textures of the land during cultivation have been revealed: plowed, cultivated, sown and ridged land have taken on a facelift compared to FS17. The Grimme 470 Terra Trac machine, for potatoes, seen in operation with all the animations of the belts and bearings in action, is very well done. And cotton is not to be outdone, you can see the textures and the different states of growth until harvest. The Case IH 635 cotton harvesting machine was seen in action: harvesting, unloading a square bale of cotton and loading it into a trailer for sale, the only possible use of cotton.
Coming up
In the coming weeks, other vehicles and novelties will be unveiled on the official website. According to the general opinion of the players, John Deere, Man, Fendt and Massey Ferguson tools and vehicles are eagerly awaited. So far, 47 brands have been unveiled.
