If you like EDOMOD's work on the map Italia Emilia Extension on FS22, rejoice because the new map Land of Italy is now officially available. This is a redesign of the card originally designed for FS13 in collaboration with EDOMOD, SUKAZ, SBAFFO and MARCO LS.
3 Versions of the map with different texture qualities
Faithful to its economic model already in force for Italia, EDO will offer its card in 3 different versions (mainly concerning the quality of the textures): a free ModHub version for PC and Consoles (but not available at launch), a Standard version for PC only (free or by making a free donation) and an HD version for PC (€5 for medium resolution textures and €7 for high definition textures)
As an example and points of comparison, EDO provides us with screenshots of a wall with the three texture formats:
Land of Italy
The map is approximately 1.2 x 1.2 km and an enlargement to 2 x 2 km is planned for FS25. Several required mods are required for you to use and enjoy the full functionality of the map. They are detailed on the site and some of them will be automatically downloaded from the modhub when the map is launched on your game.
The map has 4 farms:
- The sheep farm (starting as a new solo farmer) with a grain silo
- The horse farm (without grain silo)
- The pig farm (without grain silo)
- The main farm, with its large cattle stall and grain silo
Interactive zones are no longer indicated by icons or dots but by light strips and can be hidden via the interactive zone masking game settings.
All buildings on the map were made from scratch and do not come from the Italia map or other maps.
The sheep farm
The sheep will produce milk from the first year and you can then produce sheep cheese at the dairy level.
In addition to the grain silo, you will also find two white silos for storing seeds and fertilizers with an external gauge to visually see the filling level.
The pig farm
Both water and feed silos are equipped with filling gauges for easy visual reference. There is also a storage space for tubers (potatoes, beets) which is used to prepare the feed mixture for the pigs.
A modified mixer is available at the store to distribute feed easily into the feed alley of the pigpen.
Particularities of the wine section
It is possible to produce red or white wine. Production takes place in two stages with first the grape juice in wooden barrels (to obtain wine in barrels) then the wine in barrels with bottles (to obtain wine in bottles).
Barrels can either be purchased or produced at the sawmill. Bottles must be purchased.
Wine production generates residues that can be used by the methanizer (BGA).
The grain mill
In addition to traditional flours, the mill can produce corn flour. By purchasing the mill plot, you will also have a fuel depot and a pallet warehouse.
The methanizer (BGA)
It has production lines different from the classic BGA in the game. In addition to methane, it generates co-products such as solid and liquid digestate. The solid digestate can be sold or used as fertilizer.
The sawmill
It has production lines different from the classic sawmill in the game, including the production of firewood used in the ovens of restaurants and bakeries, for the manufacture of barrels and boards.
The oil mill
It produces a residue that can be used to power the BGA.
The cattle farm
The farm has three separate stables, one for calves, one for beef and the last for dairy cows.
To feed the calves, a small milk tank can be used if you have loaded the recommended additional mod.
The stalls for calves and dairy cows each have an automatic manure scraper that can be activated by the player.
A manure is placed nearby and has an automatic filling device for the skips.
The horse farm
Starting from this farm, you will find a specially marked equestrian path (which also appears on the PDA as a dotted blue line) which takes you around the entire map before returning to the starting point. We recommend riding in first person view from your horse to appreciate the map from a different perspective.
