Ultimate Games has just unveiled via a trailer some images of Ancient Farm, a farm simulator from another era. The video shows a few missions, which seem to be done manually or with a few animals and rudimentary tools.
Get ready to trade in your big tractors and harvesters for more primitive tools. Ancient Farm, a farming and farming simulator in ancient times, will soon be released on PC. The first trailer shows varied gameplay and a fairly realistic depiction of what a farmer might have been like millennia ago.
You start with a small plot of land that you expand until it becomes something akin to a farm. You will start by clearing your land to plant and then harvest your crops. The economy is important and you will have to efficiently manage your raw materials and the maintenance of your infrastructures. The developers promise a wide range of activities such as using ancient techniques to turn grain into flour, digging ditches to bring water, or constructing agricultural buildings. The trailer shows an objective system. Will there be a sandbox mode?
Developed by Polish studio UF Games, part of the Ultimate Games SA group, Ancient Farm is a single-player game only, and takes place in a first-person view.
